I am excited to announce that come Monday, bright and early, I will be on a plane heading for Albany, New York. I have been accepted to into the COM.EN.ART, Natural History Artist Residency Program at the Huyck Preserve and Biological Research Station in Rensselaerville.
It will be two weeks of concentrated time spent in nature, focused on my art! The program is also put on by the New York State Museum, so I am hopeful that I will be able to work from some of their specimens as well.
Be sure to check back in as the weeks progress. I will try to update you through the experience as best I can. Otherwise, I will tell you all about it when I get back. Wish me luck!
